Serving the Green Matcha Smoothie

Once the smoothie is ready, taste and enjoy.

  • I frequently like to serve my smoothie on a bit of ice.
  • This allows for the smoothie to get a little colder.

Substitution Options

Here are some of my suggestions for substitutions:

  • Want a more tropical flavour? I particularly like that, and I do that by adding 2 tablespoons of coconut milk to the mix.
  • Add 1/4 cup of Cauliflower florets to in effect making it even healthier.
  • Turn it into a protein smoothie. Add 1 scoop of protein powder of choice.
  • Use greens of choice. Although my recipe uses spinach, you can always replace that with Kale, Beet Greens, or even Microgreens.

Do smoothies use yogurt or milk?

My green matcha smoothie uses milk. I use whatever milk I have available in the fridge, such as oat milk, soy milk, or almond milk. You can use yogurt, but the consistency will be much thicker.

What fruits can I put into a smoothie?

My green matcha smoothie has banana and kiwi in it. However, you can use all kinds of fruits in smoothies. Check our my Mango and Carrot Smoothie, or my Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie for smoothies that use other fruits.

Can I make my smoothie vegan?

My green matcha smoothie is vegan and gluten-free. I use maple syrup to sweeten it and I use non-dairy milk. You can use any milk of your choice to make this smoothie.
